Food-Grade Bottle-to-Bottle Recycling System in Japan

As Japan's largest corporate group-Mitsubishi, who actively responded to the Japanese government's encouragement for environmental protection, and was devoted to the PET recycling business with subsidies. Mitsubishi established a joint venture company with Utsumi for this project. Utsumi has been operating with the BoReTech PET recycling system for many years, so they finally chose BoReTech as the equipment supplier for this project after the preliminary project discussion.

This PET recycling project is applied to food-grade bottle-to-bottle which includes a 6000 kg/h PET bottle washing line, EREMA's pelletizing system, and SSP. The designed annual output is 25,000 tons. BoReTech is responsible for the PET bottle recycling line. It is configured on the basic PET bottle recycling standard configuration of Japan, combined with the good suggestions from engineers in Utsumi as they own many years of operation experience. These suggestions are favorable to BoReTech engineers.

Given the practical experience of projects in Japan, coupled with the implementation of project management, the project of Mitsubishi is smooth.

To promote the PET bottle recycling project, BoReTech successfully broke through many bottlenecks, such as completing data and information exchange of electronic control system, the platform handrails design, the project cost controlling, the customer monitor of manufacture schedule, and remote installation guidance, etc. Under the epidemic situation, the biggest problem is that we cannot dispatch engineers to the customer's factory to guide the installation. Fortunately, based on the experience of previous Japanese projects, the installation documentation has been continuously improved, and installation progress meetings are held with customers every day. Such a huge project and complicated control system are carried out steadily under the customer's self-installation. The project is going to complete the installation work in September 2021, and commissioning will be carried out from around October,Now it is under running.

At the end of the washing line, Boretech adopted Label Aspiration Separator to deal with the Japanese PET bottles with many heat-shrinkable labels and multi-layer bottles in winter, to remove nylon films as much as possible. The water system of this project is designed by the customer independently, BoReTech provides auxiliary equipment, vibration screen, water tank, and trolly. Due to the high labor costs in Japan, the customer also proposed reserving the position of the automatic sorting labor, which will be available to install in the future to reduce labor costs.
