How does the recycling system remove labels and caps?
PET bottle labels generally include adhesive labels and heat-shrinkable labels, and adhesive labels normally consist of paper labels and BOPP labels. Adhesive labels can be removed in the bottle pre-washing section. Since the heat-shrinkable labels will shrink after pre-heating, which will cause problems for scraping, we use a scraping machine to break labels and then use a label blower to remove them. Most bottle caps are made of PO. After they are crushed, they are transported to the floatation separator to use the different densities of PET and PO. The cap material will float and the PET flakes will sink to the bottom of the flotation machine.
For some remaining small paper labels, PP/PE labels, we will use a Zig-zag separator to remove them as much as possible.
